12 Jyotirlingas

Jyotirlingas are the 12 most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in India. According to the Shiva Purana, they are places where Shiva manifested as an infinite, radiant pillar of light. Visiting these self-manifested sites is believed to liberate devotees from the cycle of birth and death.
